You know how you run into something that’s so great you want to share it with the world?

You’ve just read the best book or downloaded an amazing app. My most recent “great” is the National World War II Museum in New Orleans. I visited in September for the third time. Whenever I’m in New Orleans, I make it a point to stop there. It is not a fun place. It’s wrenching. But it’s also wonderful because it’s a place full of heroes and their stories.

My father fought in WWII so I have an interest in this time in history. But even if he hadn’t I would be awed by the courage and tenacity of the men and women who were outnumbered and untrained when they got into a war that depended upon them to change the history of the world.

This is what they were up against, the red the enemy, the blue the Allied forces.
